The Project ‘ChiplEss MultisEnsor Rfid for GrEen NeTworks' (EMERGENT) launched on January 1st 2015 has been financed under the Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange programme. EMERGENT activities focus on the intersectoral mobility dimension, based on the exchange of staff between academia and SMEs.

With a budget of 913,500 Euros over 36 months, EMERGENT brings together six partners from three EU countries:

University of Pisa (Pisa, Italy) – Department of Information Engineering – Project Coordinator.

Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain).

Grenoble Institute of Technology – LCIS Lab (Valence Cedex, France).

Consortium Ubiquitous Technologies Scarl (Cascina, Italy).

ARDEJE Sarl (Valence, France).

Generation RFID S.L. (Reus, Spain).

EMERGENT project aims to realize a new class of chipless RFID tags and sensors moving from conventional sensors towards next generation pervasive interconnected systems by employing environmental-friendly substrates such as paper and low-cost printing process.
